Planning Solutions Consultant

Job Summary

Seasoned Supply Chain Planning Consultant with implementation experience in planning tools and deep process expertise across diverse industries. The role demands comprehensive knowledge of supply planning, demand planning, inventory management, S&OP, and MRP processes. The consultant will lead digital transformation initiatives using advanced planning platforms like Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, O9 and Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Management implementations following industry best practices.
• Build robust S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Management capabilities.
• Develop comprehensive inventory strategies for BOM & Non-BOM items with scientific stock norm calculations.
• Lead MRP projects to optimize inventory planning processes and service levels.
• Collaborate with IT teams to digitalize planning processes using Planning tools (SAP APO/IBP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis).
• Design, implement, and maintain dashboards and reports for supply chain performance metrics.
• Ensure data integrity, stock availability, and optimal inventory management.
• Conduct stock analysis and drive continuous supply chain process improvements.

Additional Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement planning tools including Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, O9 and Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM.
• Develop stakeholder management frameworks collaborating with business teams on critical planning requirements.
• Set up inventory strategy frameworks with reorder point calculations based on supply chain variables.
• Maintain Excel-based models for supply chain performance tracking and scenario analysis.
• Ensure right service levels with optimal stock management across diverse industries.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education:

• B.Tech + MBA from Tier 2 colleges (MCA and similar programs not acceptable)

Experience:

• 8-12 years in Supply Planning, S&OP, and Inventory Management
• Complete understanding of S&OP & end-to-end supply planning processes
• Mandatory hands-on implementation experience with multiple tools such Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, O9, or Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM
• Very strong depth in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, OR Inventory Planning
• Above average understanding of remaining S&OP process areas

Technical Skills:

• Planning tool implementation (SAP APO/IBP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, O9, Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM)
• MRP project leadership and inventory optimization
• Advanced Excel modeling and dashboard development
• Data integrity management in SAP/ERP environments

Soft Skills:

• Strong stakeholder management & leadership
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with client handling experience
• Diverse industry exposure with process consulting expertise
• Should exhibit prowess in PowerPoint presentations in current or previous work experience.
