Barilla G. & R. Fratelli is hiring 2 Plant Buyers for various locations across Italy. The individuals will report to the Purchasing Associate Director of the Plants Procurement Center of Expertise.





Job description



The individual is responsible to Execute and manage all local Purchasing activities such as sourcing, negotiation, contracting related to local indirect categories on site as per defined Company guidelines.

Responsible for local contracts negotiation and implementation, managing spot buys also activating and collaborating with external Procurement Services Provider and in charge of spot buy reduction.

Responsible for implementing Purchasing Strategies, in line with Central Purchasing Indications, in terms of market analysis, guidelines and procedures to guarantee the correct purchase of local needs.





Key Accountabilities



· Execute market analysis and scouting local supplier base

· Conduct negotiations and contracting as per defined purchasing guidelines

· Dealing with the disputes: quantify damages, negotiating compensations, follow-up the current disputes and their progress

· Manage local supplier evaluation, handle day by day supplier relationships and build sustainable supplier relationships for assigned category that generates value for both Barilla and the supplier over time

· Perform local communication and promote global/regional contracts use, lead the phase out of the old contracts and procedures and introduce new suppliers

· Monitor recurring spot buys to reduce them and highlight potential for catalogue and contract creation

· Tracking efficiency/saving calculation of the projects done

· Collect local data and information to share with Central Purchasing, contributing to the overall Purchasing view





Requirements



· At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role; experience in indirect procurement would be an advantage.

· Open to traveling approximately 50% of the time between the two assigned plants.

· Degree in Engineering/technical studies

· Fluency in Italian & English language, both spoken and written

· Good communication, network and interpersonal skills

· Planning and organization skills, as well as problem solver.

· Multitasking and logical mindset

· High level of autonomy, proactivity and engagement

· Collaborative and team-working approach

· Ability to develop and nurture strong relationships
