Plant Operator/ Trades Assistant

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a safety and quality conscious Operator/ Trade Assistant to join the team based in Tumut on a full-time permanent basis.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Operate plant and heavy machinery such as excavators, bobcats, Telehandlers, forklifts, and Tilt trays
• Conduct Pre-starts & follow operational procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant plant operation.
• Load, transport, and handle materials safely and accurately.
• Assist with site setup, cleanup, and general labouring tasks as required.
• Support tradespeople with day-to-day tasks.
• Prepare and organise tools, equipment, and materials required for each job.
• Perform basic labouring duties such as lifting, carrying, cleaning, and site preparation.
• Operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and correctly.
