Your new role

As a Platform Engineer , you’ll support, maintain, and improve our Azure cloud environment, on-premises systems, and internal IT operations. Working closely with senior engineers, our Customer Delivery Team and the Platform Manager, you’ll help deliver stable, secure, and efficient infrastructure that supports our internal teams and customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing IT support for employees (hardware, software, network, access, troubleshooting).
• Being available outside core business hours for customer P1 issues, upgrades etc.
• Monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cloud/internal infrastructure/systems.
• Managing user accounts, permissions, and security across Azure AD and Microsoft 365.
• Building and maintaining a strong understanding of e5 product and unique value proposition.
• Deploying and configuring Azure resources under guidance from Platform Manager.
• Supporting incident response, problem resolution, and escalation processes.
• Creating infrastructure documentation, knowledge base, and support guides.
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation.
• Actioning system backups, patching, and updates.
• Participating in monitoring and alerting for infrastructure and services.
• Working with Platform Manager on cost optimisation, automation initiatives, and projects.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure successful IT/Platform outcomes.
• Ensuring compliance with IT security policies and assisting in audits.
• Proactively learning new tools, technologies, and practices in cloud and infrastructure.
• Establishing strong internal documentation, standards, and platform governance practices.
• Being customer focused to ensure customer satisfaction.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a platform, cloud, or infrastructure engineering role with Azure.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Ability to work autonomously and self-drive for results.
• Strong hands-on experience of Azure concepts (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, monitoring).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration & Windows Server environments.
• Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Practical experience to vulnerability management, patching/incident response fundamentals.
• Previous exposure of IAM principles (least privilege, RBAC, Azure AD).
• Familiarity of Azure security services (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Security Centre).
• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC, NIST or Essential Eight.
• Excellent communication and a customer-focused mindset.
