Role summary: Build and operate the FinOps data mart, dashboards, and guardrails; analyze workloads and implement optimizations.Key responsibilities
•Develop/maintain FinOps mart & dashboards (cost, usage, warehouse duty cycle, queueing, cache hit rate).
•Analyze workloads (engineers/admins/analysts) and recommend right-sizing, clustering, pruning, materialization.
•Operate FinOps tools (tags, monitors, usage exports, budget alerts) and cost tracking workflows.
•Partner with admin/engineering/ops/BUs on adoption of FinOps standards; document runbooks.
•Perform query analysis & tuning (joins, pruning, result reuse, MVs) and submit PRs to improve models.
Requirements
•4+ yrs data engineering/platform; solid SQL, Python; Snowflake performance basics.
•Familiar with dbt/Dataform, Terraform, CI/CD, and BI tooling.
Leveling
•R2 (L1): Executes analyses & implements known patterns with guidance.
