Overview:

We are looking for a PLC Programmer to join a multinational leader in warehouse automation, based in Barcelona, Spain . Although this position is published in Portugal, the role is fully on-site in Barcelona .

We offer relocation support to help you move to Spain.

Salary range: 35,000–40,000 EUR gross/year depending on your experience (40K is the maximum for this position).

Travel availability: Up to 80% of the time during the first year (Monday to Friday).

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 4 years of experience as a PLC Programmer.
  • Proven experience programming PLC systems from scratch using Siemens TIA Portal .
  • Some experience in preventive and corrective maintenance .
  • High availability to travel extensively during the first year.
  • Motivation to work in a highly technical environment with advanced automation projects.
  • English level B2–C1 . Spanish is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and implement PLC programs from scratch using Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Design and develop HMI screens and SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control.
  • Lead equipment setup, calibration, and commissioning at client sites across Europe.
  • Provide on-site support during installation and system start-up.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams to optimize system functionality.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of PLC programs and system changes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Support and train production and maintenance teams as needed.
