Plumber – Building Services
Permanent, full-time

As a Plumber in our Building Services team, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing plumbing installations and equipment across our community facilities. Your work ensures these assets are safe, compliant, and operating as intended. You’ll plan and deliver cost-effective repairs, maintenance, and modifications, while providing exceptional customer service and upholding safety, excellence, and integrity in everything you do.
This exciting role will:
- Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs on Council assets to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Inspect works, manage customer requests, and provide practical solutions or recommendations.
- Plan and coordinate plumbing-related tasks, including estimating and ordering materials.
- Ensure compliance with Plumbing Code of Practice, Local Authority Regulations, and Australian Standards (AS/NZS3500).
- Operate and maintain specialist equipment such as CCTV, locating tools, and water jetting equipment.
- Supervise and support staff and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Work across multiple sites and occasionally in confined spaces.

LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU
- Certificate III in Plumbing and NSW Department of Fair Trading Contractor Licences in Plumbing, Drainage, and Gas fitting.
- Experience in domestic, commercial, and/or industrial plumbing, including reactive maintenance.
- Skilled in interpreting plumbing plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of plumbing standards, products, and installation techniques.
- Ability to use CCTV and water jetting equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence and WHS General Induction for Construction Work in NSW.
- Computer literacy, including tablets and mobile technology.
- (Desirable) Certifications in Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, and Safe Work Near Powerlines.

- Competitive salary from $78,757 to $91,527 per year + 12% Superannuation
- Plus, allowances of Adverse working conditions $0.52 per hour and tool allowance of $39.40 per week
