Job Overview The plumber will be responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning all plumbing and water-related systems within a new-build nursery. The role requires high attention to safety, hygiene, and compliance with building regulations, given the childcare environment. Key Responsibilities Install first and second fix plumbing systems in accordance with drawings and specifications Install hot and cold water systems, soil and waste pipes, and rainwater systems Fit sanitaryware suitable for a nursery environment (toilets, basins, sinks, baby-change units, etc.) Install water heaters, pipework insulation, and associated valves and controls Ensure systems meet hygiene, temperature control, and anti-scald requirements (e.g. TMVs) Pressure test and commission plumbing systems Liaise with site managers, other trades, and inspectors to ensure smooth progress Work to project timelines and coordinate work with other building activities Maintain a clean, safe, and child-safe working ...
