Policy Manager– 6-Month Opportunity (Brisbane)

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for shaping effective, evidence-based policy? We’re seeking an experienced Policy Manager, based in Brisbane, to join our team for a six-month role, driving high-quality policy development and supporting key organisational outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of products including operating policies, procedures, fact sheets, correspondence and other briefing materials.
• Development of resources to support consistency and quality of branch output.
• Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders on a range of policy and practice issues.
• Manage projects to completion by identifying risks and managing expectations.

Key Skills and Attributes:
• Demonstrated high-level ability in researching and critically analysing policy issues to identify legislative solutions that are based on evidence and that are fit for purpose.
• Demonstrated high-level experience in managing and coordinating projects to completion, establish priorities, meet deadlines, including stakeholder engagement and negotiations as well as obtaining executive approval.
• Demonstrated high-level experience in applying key concepts and principles of legislation when developing policy responses.
• Demonstrated high-level ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to deliver quality written communication products (including policies and procedures), including the provision of professional advice.

Casual Loading
