Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Polysomnographic Scoring Technologist, working under the general supervision of the Clinical Director (MD) or designee, provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Primarily a scoring position, it also includes polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. The technologist performs duties as defined for a technologist and provides effective on‑call support for the night shift to resolve clinical issues by demonstrating an advanced understanding of scientific knowledge and theory related to sleep disorders (takes call an average of every third week). Provides night shift coverage when needed.
EDUCATION:
Associate of Science or Associate of Arts degree preferred. Formal coursework in polysomnography is desirable as is the CRT or RRT credential.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year as a Polysomnographic Technologist that includes scoring sleep studies.
