  • About the Team – Portfolio and Business development

Portfolio Management and Business Development Team is a key part of the core teams at Zydus Lifesciences. This group plays a critical role in identifying and assessing new business opportunities, driving strategic initiatives, and aligning them with long-term company goals. It also supports inorganic growth through licensing, mergers, acquisitions across diverse therapeutic areas and markets and involves collaborations across multiple teams within the larger organization.

  • Role Overview:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for designing and deploying data-driven solutions to solve complex business problems. The role entails developing advanced predictive models, performing deep statistical analysis, and creating visually compelling dashboards to support decision-making across business functions. The position also involves end-to-end application development and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable data solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain proprietary databases to track market and industry trends and identify business opportunities.
  • Develop financial models and prepare business cases for proposed opportunities.
  • Prepare dashboards, project trackers, and senior management updates on business visibility.
  • Facilitate business discussions with key insights on data trends.
  • Timely delivery of business reports with monthly data updates
  • Key skills and abilities:
  • Ability to apply advanced statistical algorithms to deliver measurable business impact
  • Proficiency in statistical tools such as Advanced Excel, R, SAS etc.
  • Strong database design and architecture skills, working knowledge of MS Access, SQL-based systems, Oracle Database, and Alteryx
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI
  • Practical expertise in data discovery using large and varied datasets from multiple information sources
  • Programming knowledge in Python, Java (J2EE), or C
  • Experience with data mining, text mining, and related techniques
  • Knowledge of IQVIA data, FDA databases, import-export data sources would be an added advantage
  • Qualifications
  • Seekingprofessional with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Pharmacy
  • Data management certifications are a plus
  • The role requires expertise in Strategy, Business Development, and Data Management
