Open postdoc position at the Geosciences Institute in Madrid, Spain (IGEO), in Climate-Cryosphere modelling. The position is in the framework of the EU project. Duration: 2 years with possibility for extension. Starting date: June 1, 2026, or upon agreement.
Description
The postdoc will work with a coupled climate-cryosphere intermediate complexity Earth system model (ClimberX-Yelmo), focusing on ocean-ice-sheet interactions on different time periods and scales, ranging from the pre-Quaternary Antarctic inception, abrupt events of the last glacial cycles and future projections of the coupling between the oceanic circulation and Greenland and Antarctic response under different extended scenarios.
