Postdoc position in Hydrological Projections for Alpine Hydropower

Mission

The Laboratory of Urban and Environmental Systems (URBES) at EPFL is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to assess the impact of future climate change on hydropower production in the Swiss Alps.

At URBES we seek to describe and predict land-atmosphere interactions and coupled human-natural processes across a broad spectrum of spatiotemporal scales. Our aim is to elucidate complex socio-ecological dynamics, quantify the local and non-local impacts of human activities, and guide the design of greener, healthier, and more sustainable territories. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on the project Assessing the impact of climate change on SBB hydroelectric power production within the framework of the SBB – EPFL Research Initiative.
