The Biomolecular and Tissue Engineering Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Binghamton University (SUNY Binghamton) invites applications for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team focused on the development of innovative avian influenza vaccines. Successful candidate should have a strong background in molecular cell biology, immunology and vaccine development, and demonstrate track record of scientific productivity. Experience with molecular subcloning, protein expression, and immunoassay are preferred.

Key Responsibilities are:


+ Design, construct, and characterize recombinant vaccine candidates using molecular and cellular engineering approaches

+ Conduct in vitro assays including yeast cell culture, immunoassays, protein expression, etc.

+ Analyze data, prepare manuscripts, and present findings at scientific meetings

+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, including immunologists, virologists, and bioengineers

+ Contribute to mentoring of graduate/undergraduate trainees


Job Requirements:

+ Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in molecular cell biology, immunology, virology, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field.

+ Strong communication skills

+ Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting with collaborators and others are required


Additional Information:
Salary: $60,000 - $66,000 annually, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment with the possibility of annual renewal based on performance and funding availability. It is available immediately, with a preferred start date of March 1, 2026.
