Postdoctoral Project Researcher

The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning research group (AI-ML) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work on a research project funded by the Spanish ministry, Provably Efficient and Adaptive Reinforcement Learning (PEARL). The position is initially for 18 months. The main topic of the project is fundamental research in reinforcement learning and sequential decision making.
Candidates are required to hold a PhD in computer science or related field. Successful candidates need extensive knowledge of reinforcement learning and previous experience with theoretical analysis using mathematical tools such as linear algebra, calculus and probability theory, since the position involves the analysis of theoretical properties of the algorithms developed in the project.
