Postdoctoral researcher on automatic microstructure recognition and analysis applied to steels

IMDEA Materials Institute is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on automatic microstructure recognition and analysis applied to steels. The successful candidate will lead activities in this area, collaborating with industrial partners and having access to state-of-the-art characterization equipment.

The Advanced Characterization Program aims to develop tools for automatic microstructural analysis of advanced steels with complex microstructures. The candidate will work on the use of advanced characterization tools and correlative microscopy to enrich information content and capitalize on multimodal information.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in advanced microstructural characterization of metallic alloys, preferably steels.
