Postgre SQL Data Migration Consultant

<p><b data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">PostgreSQL Developer</b> - Data migration</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>At least 5+ years of experience in designing, planning, and executing data migrations involving PostgreSQL databases</li> <li>Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL architecture, performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization</li> <li>Proven experience migrating data from legacy databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) to PostgreSQL</li> <li>Experience defining and executing data migration strategies such as full load, incremental load, and minimal-downtime migrations</li> <li>Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL migration utilities such as pg_dump, pg_restore, psql, logical replication, and foreign data wrappers</li> <li>Ability to analyze source and target schemas, perform data mapping, and resolve data quality and data type issues</li> <li>Experience validating migrated data for accuracy, completeness, and performance benchmarks</li> <li>Strong SQL and PL/pgSQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, and query optimization</li> <li>Experience working with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions such as Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL or Aurora PostgreSQL</li> <li>Working knowledge of AWS data services and architecture, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams handling AWS Glue and ETL development</li> <li>Experience coordinating with AWS Glue, S3, and related AWS services for data ingestion and migration workflows (Glue scripts developed and managed by separate teams)</li> <li>Understanding of IAM roles, security groups, encryption, and network configurations related to PostgreSQL on AWS</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD processes for database changes and migration execution</li> <li>Experience supporting large-scale data migrations involving high data volumes and complex transactional systems</li> <li>Strong understanding of SDLC, migration planning, cutover execution, and post-migration validation</li> <li>Ability to troubleshoot data migration, performance, and connectivity issues across PostgreSQL and AWS environments</li> <li>Self-motivated, able to work independently on critical tasks and collaboratively with cross-functional teams</li> <li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across teams, regions, and domains</li> <li>Order-to-Cash or similar enterprise business domain knowledge is strongly preferred</li> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience</li> </ul> <div> </div>
