Job Description

A union manufacturing company is seeking Powder Operators to join their team. You must be flexible to work first or second shift.

Duties:

  • Set-up powder guns with proper gun tips, controls, and reciprocators per the instructions
  • Adjust the width of the bake oven and turn on or off elements of the oven based on routing or instructions
  • Use thermometer to determine temperature of painted parts, monitor proper pH, titration levels, pumps, and spray nozzles in washer, and reports problems to supervisor
  • Put proper powder into paint hoppers and check parts as they are being painted for conformance to quality standards
  • Perform manual powder work when needed using portable handgun, cleans guns, booths, and hoses for each color change
  • Take inventory of powder, chemicals, etc., handle clean-up activities, turn washer on/off for breaks, lunch, and at end of shift
