Job Description

Location: Noida / Bengaluru (On-site)
Type: Full-Time
Experience: B. Tech with 2+ years of experience (Electrical / EEE / Avionics)
⚡ About the Role
At Teleborti X , we are building heavy-lift, long-range autonomous platforms powered by advanced hybrid-electric propulsion. We are moving beyond standard battery drones and entering the domain of High-Voltage (800 V) Hybrid Aviation.
We are looking for a Power Electronics Engineer to own the electrical "heart" of our UAV. You will be responsible for designing the power architecture that bridges our combustion engines (Turboshaft/ICE) with our electric drivetrain, ensuring safe, efficient power delivery to everything from high-power motors to sensitive avionics.
Core Responsibilities 1. High Voltage (800 V) Architecture & PDU Design
Design and develop the Power Distribution Unit (PDU) to manage and distribute 800 V power across the aircraft.
Develop high-efficiency DC-DC Converter modules to step down High Voltage (HV) to Low Voltage (LV) for avionics (24 V/12 V/5 V), servos, and computing units.
Implement safety mechanisms for HV systems, including Isolation Monitoring , pre-charge circuits, and HV interlocks (HVIL).
2. Simulation & Analysis (Thermal & ESD)
Perform Thermal Simulation and Analysis for high-power components (IGBTs/MOSFETs) to design effective cooling solutions (heatsinks/liquid cooling).
Conduct ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) analysis and implement protection circuits to safeguard sensitive avionics in flight environments.
Run SPICE simulations (LTSpice / PSpice) to validate circuit behavior, transient response, and stability before PCB fabrication.
3. Hybrid Powertrain Integration
Lead the electrical integration of the Generator Control Unit (GCU) , coupling the mechanical output of the engine to the electrical battery/bus system.
Design and validate Active Rectification circuits to convert AC generator output to stable DC for the high-voltage bus.
Work closely with the Battery Management System (BMS) to optimize charging/discharging cycles during hybrid flight operations.
4. Board-Level Design & Driver Development
Design and test custom PCBs and drivers for critical sub-systems:
Actuator Drivers: For flight control surfaces and heavy-lift servos.
Thermal Management: Drivers for cooling loops, pumps, and fans.
Sensor Interfaces: Signal conditioning circuits for powertrain sensors.
5. Wiring, Harnessing & Communication
Design robust wiring harnesses and communication gantries (power & data cabling).
Ensure Signal Integrity for communication buses (CAN, RS485, Ethernet) running alongside high-power switching noise.
Implement EMI/EMC mitigation techniques (shielding, filtering, grounding) to protect sensitive avionics.
✅ Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: B. Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 2+ years of hands-on experience.
Circuit Simulation: Proficiency in LTSpice, PSpice, or MATLAB/Simulink for power circuit modeling.
PCB Design: Proficiency in Altium, Ki Cad, or Eagle (experience with high-voltage clearance/creepage rules is a plus).
Thermal & EMC: Understanding of thermal management (heatsink sizing) and EMI/ESD protection design.
Power Electronics: Strong understanding of Buck/Boost converters, Inverters, Rectifiers, and Gate Drive circuits.
Testing: Hands-on experience with Oscilloscopes, Power Analyzers, and Thermal Chambers.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with Ansys (Ice Pak/Maxwell) or similar tools for detailed thermal/magnetic simulation.
Experience in the EV (Electric Vehicle) industry or UAV/Drone sector.
Familiarity with High Voltage safety standards (ISO 26262 or similar).
