Position Summary :

The Power Engineer - 3rd Class is responsible for providing and maintaining utility services to the Hospital.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment associated with the Facilities heating and cooling plants and other critical infrastructure within the hospital.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Operating boilers and controlling generation of a reliable and continuous supply of steam for heating hospital buildings, and supplying steam to critical equipment such as sterilizers and food service equipment.
  • Monitoring boiler room to observe operating equipment, meters, and gauges to ensure that operation is in accordance with instructions and established practice.
  • Proficient with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
