The Role

: 

We are looking for a PowerBI Developer to join our operations team. This role involves creating reports and dashboards by transforming raw data into actionable insights, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet business objectives. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, developing complex data models, performing data transformations (ETL), and maintaining Power BI solutions. Essential skills for this role are proficiency in Power BI tools, expertise in DAX and SQL, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.

Role & Requirement

  • Requirements gathering – work closely with Operations to understand data and business reporting needs
  • Data modelling – design, develop and maintain robust and scalable data models that access data from various sources
  • Report UX – Visualise reports and getting sign-off before going into development.
  • Report & Dashboard development – Create visually appealing, interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Data Transformation: Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to clean, prepare, and integrate data from various sources.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Maintenance & Support: Maintain and improve existing BI solutions, and provide training and support for end-users.
  • Manage the Power BI Service – workspaces, permissions, scheduled refreshes etc
  • Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to data governance and security policies.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Power BI reports and dashboards.

    • Key skills & Qualifications

  • Power BI Proficiency: Deep knowledge of the Power BI platform, including its tools and capabilities.
  • Data Modeling: Expertise in building multi-dimensional and tabular data models. Strong understanding of data model best practices.
  • DAX & SQL: Strong ability to write DAX functions and ability to query SQL databases.
  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills to dissect data and identify trends.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Data Warehousing Concepts: Understanding of data warehousing principles, data lakes and data governance.
  • ETL Processes: Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading.
