Job Summary: North Yorkshire Council is seeking an experienced Practice Supervisor (Grade M) to join the Children & Young People’s Service on an agency basis. This role is based in Selby, with occasional countywide travel required. The position is to provide long-term sickness cover and will focus on supervising frontline social work practice, with a strong emphasis on court work and care planning. The role is inside IR35 and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• Provide practice supervision and oversight to social workers within Children’s Services.
• Support and guide practitioners to ensure high-quality, child-centred practice.
