C&S has an immediate opening for a full-time, temp-to-hire Press Operator in Jefferson City

Salary/hours for Press Operator: $18/hr.; night shift


Responsibilities for Press Operator:

  • spotting plates on press and installing plates on plate cylinders; operating console, adjusting roller settings and MPCS press control

  • make runs in web leads and make paster preparations following press layout; loads reels with 500-2,000 lbs. newsprint rolls and removes 50-80 lb. cores from press

  • perform routine maintenance of press including oiling, greasing, replacing and packing blankets; adjusts impression and other maintenance as assigned

  • mix inks and follow process color procedures including placing ink in proper fountains, setting and adjusting black and color inks and registering plates; includes operating water and color controls; inspect paper visually during run to correct ink and water distribution and color registrati...
