Job Description
The purpose of the Pricing Manager will be to develop and maintain pricing and margin strategies for new and existing customers and products. This role will work closely with Customer Service and additional internal departments and will collaborate with functional business leaders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for maintaining all customer content in ERPResponsible for loading and maintaining all customer pricing contracts in ERPProduce special customer reports for sales forceHelp to maintain content in Phocas environmentUse Business Intelligence (e.g. Phocas) for data governance within ERPReview customer contracts and update when vendors have a change in discount structureWork with product management team to optimize market pricing for product offeringParticipates in review and implementation strategies to increase gross profitOther duties as assignedReports to the Director Database/Marketing SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum 2+ years of related experience; ideally in marketing, finance or communicationsBackground in industrial distribution or metalworking a plus Prior experience with Prophet21 (P21) highly preferredWorking knowledge of SQL is a plusPC knowledge/experience and the ability to utilize the Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)Experience in operations or manufacturing environments preferredEffective communication, negotiation and influencing skillsEffective analytical, time management, organization and problem-solving skillsStrong ability to work well under pressurePassionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork orientedStrong sense of urgency and accountabilityAbility to learn quickly and work with best practicesEnthusiastic, self-motivated, self-starter and maintains positive attitudeEstablish and maintain productive relationships internally and externally PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
