Responsibilities
- Act as SME for SQL Server and Oracle operations, performance tuning, and automation.
- Implement and maintain AlwaysOn, Mirroring, Oracle Data Guard, and RMAN for high availability.
- Automate backup, patching, and monitoring workflows via PowerShell, Ansible, or Python scripts.
- Optimize queries, indexing, and execution plans for SQL and Oracle workloads.
- Integrate DB metrics into Splunk / PowerBI dashboards.
- Enforce access controls, encryption (TDE), and auditing across both platforms.
- Support DR/BCP exercises and maintain detailed documentation.
