Job Title: Principal Data Engineer, Analytics & MLOps

Location: Hyderabad, India

Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Data Engineer, Analytics & MLOps to build and evolve the digital backbone for our Advanced Synthesis (ADS) organization. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and machine learning operations, enabling the integration and production deployment of advanced analytics, predictive models, and lightweight digital applications. In this hands-on engineering role, you will design, implement, and operate cloud-native data and analytics pipelines that power dashboards, machine learning models, and scientific workflows, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance across the R&D lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cloud-based analytics data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Operationalize machine learning workflows by deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production models using Azure Machine Learning and MLOps best practices.
  • Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices for analytics and MLOps solutions using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Establish data and model versioning, validation, and documentation processes aligned with FAIR and ALCOA+ principles.
  • Enable analytics consumption through Power BI and via reusable APIs and data products.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize deployed analytics solutions for performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with scientists, data scientists, software engineers, and IT partners to align analytics solutions with scientific and business needs.
  • Key Requirements

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or MLOps roles.
  • Hands-on experience delivering production-grade analytics and machine learning solutions in cloud environments.
  • Experience working in regulated or quality-driven environments is preferred.
  • Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services including ADF, ADLS, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Experience with MLOps frameworks and tooling such as MLflow, Docker, and FastAPI.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control.
  • Experience supporting analytics and visualization via Power BI or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with SnapLogic or other iPaaS solutions is an advantage.
  • Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in cross-functional, global teams.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and quality.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102)
