Responsibilities:
Drive adoption of data engineering best practices, standards, and methodologies. Design and implement scalable data pipelines, warehouses, and lakes, developing data models and schemas to meet business requirements. Collaborate with data scientists/analysts to translate data needs into technical solutions. Leverage big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for large-scale data processing and analysis. Establish and enforce data quality standards and implement data governance policies. Design and deploy data pipelines/stores on cloud platforms, optimizing infrastructure for cost and performance. Solve complex data engineering challenges using innovative approaches. Stay current with data engineering trends, mentor junior engineers, and foster innovation.
