Principal Designer - Structural
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Onshore Designer to support our engineering and design team in delivering high-quality 3D and 2D design solutions for onshore oil & gas, petrochemical, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in layout and detailing using S3D, E3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, with a proven track record of working on multidisciplinary design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and update 3D models and 2D drawings for piping, structural, and equipment layouts.
+ Interpret and apply engineering specifications, P&IDs, and project standards.
+ Coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure design consistency and clash-free models.
+ Generate fabrication, construction, and as-built drawings.
+ Perform model reviews and participate in design coordination meetings.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
+ Maintain drawing records and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
+ Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
+ 5 to 20 years of experience in onshore design projects.
+ Proficient in S3D (Smart 3D) and/or E3D (AVEVA Everything3D).
+ Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
+ Familiarity with onshore plant design standards and practices.
+ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
