We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer – DFT Lead to drive Design-for-Test (DFT) strategy and implementation for multi-chiplet Power efficient MCU chipsx. This role requires deep technical expertise in DFT methodologies, leadership in cross-functional collaboration, and ownership of test architecture to ensure high-quality, manufacturable designs.

  • Define and develop DFT methodologies for multi-chiplet SoCs
  • Define and implement DFT architecture for multi-chiplet SoCs, including scan, BIST, and boundary scan
  • Drive test coverage goals and optimize for cost, performance, and quality
  • Develop and integrate DFT logic into RTL and physical design flows
  • Ensure seamless interaction with synthesis, timing closure, and verification teams
  • Validate DFT features through simulation and ATPG pattern generation
  • Collaborate with product engineering for silicon bring-up and yield improvement
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices in DFT methodology
  • Partner with architecture, design, and manufacturing teams to align test strategies

  • Qualifications
  • BTech/MTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 15+ years of DFT experience
  • Proven track record in implementing scan, MBIST, LBIST, and JTAG.
  • Expertise in EDA tools for DFT (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor).
  • Strong understanding of ATPG, fault coverage analysis, and test compression techniques.
  • Prior experience with chiplet based designs is a strong plus
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), problem solving, teamwork, attention to detail, commitment to task, and quality focus
  • Strong understanding of synthesis, STA, and power optimization techniques
  • Experience with low-power designs and multi-clock domain architectures
  • Can – do attitude, openness to new environment, people and culture
  • Ability to propose innovative and leading edge solutions
  • Strong drive & ability to coordinate work across highly experienced global teams
