The candidate will be required to fulfil a role within the design team to:
+ Deliver all the specified project design outcomes on time, within budget and to the quality required
+ Comply with all relevant technical standards; including ICAO, EASA, CAA, MAA RA’s, FAA, STANAG and local airport planning and engineering standards.

+ Develop designs in accordance with the Client’s requirements and relevant design standards to achieve cost effective solutions.
+ Development of engineering solutions and presentation of options.
+ Produce and check design concepts, design details, drawings, specifications, schedules and other technical documents.
+ Undertake design of AGL systems & associated control systems, FEGP, AGL Substation LV Distribution (including standby generation), apron flood lighting and stand services; collaboratively working with other members of the team (Planners, Civil Engineers) and independently as required.
+ Preparation and checking of design calculations, basis of design reports, specifications etc.
+ Preparation and checking of options analysis reports, survey briefs, input into project health and safety files and other written documents as required.
+ Managing full life cycle of individual design projects.
+ Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the budget for projects including the planning, monitoring and reporting of project resources and finances.
+ Degree in a related engineering discipline.
+ Post-qualification experience designing Aeronautical Ground Lighting Systems and comprehensive understanding of airfield requirements.
+ Computer literate and conversant with Office 365 and relevant engineering software including AutoCAD and Amtech ProDesign, or similar.
+ Experience of working in multi-disciplinary design teams including civil, structural and mechanical engineers.
+ Experience of the design of AGL & AGL Control Systems, FEGP, LV Distribution (including standby generation), external flood lighting and aircraft stand services.
+ Strong hands-on experience in developing the design/drawings in coordination with other disciplines such as geometric, pavement & drainage.
+ Having a strong understanding on airfield markings & signages and coordination with airside operational procedures.
+ Should be able to perform the sighting calculations for the runway approach for approach lights & PAPI systems. CCR calculations.
+ Having extensive knowledge of ALCMS, integration with related systems & operating applications/software.
+ Conversant with BS 7671 "Requirements for Electrical Installations. IET Wiring Regulations".
+ Knowledge of ICAO, EASA, CAA, MAA RA’s, FAA, STANAG and local airport planning and engineering standards.
+ Knowledge of airport operations.
+ Good communication skills dealing with clients, project partners and supply chain.
+ Client focused approach to service delivery.
+ Team player.
+ Able to demonstrate the necessary level of competency and experience as required for AGL projects at various stages of development: studies, conceptual design, detailed design and construction, including on site experience.
Mandatory Skills
