Job Description
Our client which is a Great Place to Work certified MNC is looking for a Principal Engineer – .Net Application Development. Someone responsible for providing hands on management and development for applications within the Full Service Lines of Business (LOB).
Roles & Responsibilities:
Hands on development of application set (i.e., C# and .NET ) Hands on experience designing and building applications using the Microsoft Power Platform (i.e., Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI). Technical expertise to understand applications and develop plans to continuously improve application portfolio Provide input and guidance on appropriate application architecture and design to ensure scalability & supportability Technical knowledge of Microsoft applications tools and programs to effectively manage the development of software to support business needs Work closely with developers to ensure deployment plans and automation are in place to meet requirements Identify resources & technical skillsets needed to meet business needs Work with team members to ensure overall solution delivery and quality (i.e., Developers, BA, QE) Ensure technical and system documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately Provide guidance to technical team members and ensure adherence to development best practices for source code control, reviews, test automation, and release management Manage release process through non-production and Production environments Create and manage changes to the release plan and assess the impacts of those changes Resolve/report issues and manage dependencies and risks across the release Drive automation and continuous improvement of release events Understanding of the application development life cycle, Agile / Scrum experience a plus
Skills & Experience (Principal Engineer):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field Minimum 8 years of application development and application development management Strong technical capabilities with knowledge of Microsoft technologies and development practices, including the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI), C#, Angular and coding standards Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tooling, deployment of enterprise software, and configuration management Excellent analytical skills required Proven track record of multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and delivering projects on budget Prior experience managing development staff, including internal team and third party vendors Knowledge of different project management software, and be technically competent with Microsoft productivity toolset Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
