Tech-Stack and Engineering Tools:

  • Cloud Platform: AWS, GCP

  • Cloud stack: VPC/VPN, DNS, Load Balancer, Firewall, IAM, Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Databases, Cloud Storage, Interconnect, Private Service Connect, Network Endpoint Group, AWS App Mesh, AWS Direct Connect, AWS Private Links

  • DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Orchestration tools like Kubernetes

  • Engineering Process Tools: Dockerization, Kubernetes, GIT, Jenkin, Jira, SonarQ
  • Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust cloud infrastructure, secure networking, and CI/CD pipelines for distributed cloud systems and multiple environment

  • Automate and manage network configurations using tools like Ansible, Teraform or Puppet

  • Set up monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of both software applications and network infrastructure

  • Simplify and streamline Identity and Access Management policies, ensuring appropriate access control.

  • Optimize API management workflows and costs using Apigee or alternative platforms.

  • Ensure the seamless integration of software changes into the infrastructure

  • Automate operational processes related to network management, provisioning, and configuration

  • Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve overall efficiency

  • Ensure that changes to the Skylo network are version-controlled and reproducible

  • Respond to network incidents promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures to minimise service disruptions

  • Establish and maintain security protocols for AWS resources, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with telecom engineers, software developers, and other cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance collaboration

  • Work with development, operations, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud services.

  • Inculcate accountability and ownership within the team by promoting robust design, development and documentation practices
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field

  • 6+ years of proven experience as a Networking and DevOps Engineer in the telecom and software industry

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, and architectures

  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g. Git)

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python or Ruby

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Container orchestration in telecom environments.

  • Experience deploying network components in hybrid, cloud-native, and edge computing environments.

  • Proficiency in AWS services such as VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, Route 53, Compute Engine, Cloud VPN, DNS.

  • Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies relevant to the telecom industry

  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in both software and telecom infrastructure

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and knowledge of telecom services in a cloud environment

  • Nice to have an understanding of 3GPP standards, RAN Cloud, 4G/5G network integrations

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and optimization skills across infrastructure and network layers.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with cross-functional teams

  • Relevant certifications in DevOps, networking and telecom technologies (e.g. professional Cloud DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience level: 6 -10yrs
