Design and implement robust cloud infrastructure, secure networking, and CI/CD pipelines for distributed cloud systems and multiple environmentAutomate and manage network configurations using tools like Ansible, Teraform or PuppetSet up monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of both software applications and network infrastructureSimplify and streamline Identity and Access Management policies, ensuring appropriate access control.Optimize API management workflows and costs using Apigee or alternative platforms.Ensure the seamless integration of software changes into the infrastructureAutomate operational processes related to network management, provisioning, and configurationDevelop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve overall efficiencyEnsure that changes to the Skylo network are version-controlled and reproducibleRespond to network incidents promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures to minimise service disruptionsEstablish and maintain security protocols for AWS resources, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Collaborate with telecom engineers, software developers, and other cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance collaborationWork with development, operations, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud services.Inculcate accountability and ownership within the team by promoting robust design, development and documentation practices Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field6+ years of proven experience as a Networking and DevOps Engineer in the telecom and software industryFamiliarity with cloud technologies, and architecturesStrong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g. Git)Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python or RubyExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Container orchestration in telecom environments.Experience deploying network components in hybrid, cloud-native, and edge computing environments.Proficiency in AWS services such as VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, Route 53, Compute Engine, Cloud VPN, DNS.Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies relevant to the telecom industryKnowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in both software and telecom infrastructureExperience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and knowledge of telecom services in a cloud environmentNice to have an understanding of 3GPP standards, RAN Cloud, 4G/5G network integrationsStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and optimization skills across infrastructure and network layers.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with cross-functional teamsRelevant certifications in DevOps, networking and telecom technologies (e.g. professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) Experience level: 6 -10yrs
