Principal Environmental Remediation Engineer

Job Description

NNL is seeking an experienced ESH Principal Compliance Engineer in the Environmental Remediation program area, which is part of the Environmental Operations and Remediation (EOR) unit. The EOR unit is comprised of subject matter experts in environmental remediation, radiological environmental monitoring, and compliance sampling at the Knolls Laboratory and Kesselring Site.

 
The primary function of this position is the implementation of the NYS Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Corrective Action programs at the Knolls Laboratory and Kesselring Sites. This position involves taking a lead role in making sound judgements regarding environmental investigations, environmental monitoring, contaminant fate and transport, remedy selection and evaluation, remediation construction, waste management, and regulatory compliance while working in a team/collaborative environment.
