Job Title: Senior Application Packaging Engineer

Designation: Principal Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Application Packaging Engineer to lead a project for one of our esteemed clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in application packaging and virtualization, along with excellent team management skills. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively collaborate with stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction while managing a team in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the application packaging process, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
  • Manage and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Participate in the testing and successful deployment of software across various platforms, including Windows 7, 10, Server, and VDI environments.
  • Resolve technical issues and explore alternative designs to enhance project outcomes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployment, packaging, administrative procedures, and known errors.
  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train and coach project group members to facilitate effective knowledge management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with client expectations and satisfaction.

    • Mandatory Skills:

  • Extensive experience in application packaging on Windows platforms.
  • Proficient in MSI application packaging using AdminStudio.
  • Hands-on experience with application virtualization using APPV Sequencer.
  • Strong knowledge of VDI - Citrix environments and application packaging across various platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of packaging lifecycle management and deployment processes.
  • Proficient in PowerShell Scripting language and VBScript for automation tasks.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining documentation related to application deployment and packaging.
  • Strong Technical Troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues effectively.

    • Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with application deployment using APPV for both physical and virtual environments.
  • Familiarity with Incident Management processes.

    • Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to support various shifts, including 24/7 operations and night shifts.
  • Educational qualifications: B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M.Tech, or equivalent technical degree from a recognized institution.
