Principal Inspector Mining Engineering

About the role

As Principal Inspector you will oversee verification of effective risk management and incident prevention strategies implemented in the NSW mining industry through management of site inspections, assessments, investigation of incidents and complaints, application of compliance powers, consultation, and education.

You will be leading a team of specialised inspectors, responsible for :

• Mining Engineering
• Explosives Engineering
• Occupational hygiene

You’ll also manage key outcomes such as :

• High Risk Activity applications and verifications.
• Exemption applications.
• Mining Engineering based licensing and assessments.
• Occupational hygiene incident notifications, licencing and assessments.
• Explosives licencing and assessments.

Plus - develop and implement industry engagement events.
