Principal Material Engineer

The Principal Material Engineer will be responsible for selecting, specifying, and ensuring the quality of piping materials across exploration, production, refining, and transportation operations. The role ensures compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory standards and provides technical guidance to the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Piping Material Index (PMI) and Piping Material Classes for Process and Utilities.
• Prepare Valve datasheets and Piping Specialty item datasheets.
• Write technical and purchase specifications for bulk materials, valves, and specialty piping items.
• Perform design calculations such as pipe wall thickness under internal pressures, vacuum conditions, branch reinforcement pads, bends, and spectacle blinds (spade/spacer).
