An established and highly regarded building services consultancy in Perth is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to play a key leadership role in their growing WA business.

This is a rare opportunity for a senior mechanical leader to step into a strategic, high-impact position with real influence over projects, people, and the future direction of the business.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of major building services projects across commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, education, defence and infrastructure sectors, while leading and mentoring a high‑performing mechanical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex mechanical building services projects
• Provide technical leadership and peer review across the mechanical team
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor
• Contribute to business growth, winning work and strategic direction
• Mentor, develop and grow junior and senior engineers
• Oversee quality, compliance and best‑practice engineering outcomes

About You

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
• Chartered (or working toward) highly regarded
• 12+ years’ experience in building services consultancy
• Strong HVAC and mechanical systems design expertise
• Proven leadership and project delivery experience
• Commercially minded with strong client-facing skills
• Passion for team development and technical excellence
