Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join our team on-site in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, you will design, develop, and test mechanical systems for cutting-edge electro-optical products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Electrical, Optical, Firmware, and Manufacturing—to bring innovative concepts from design through to production.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for products.
  • Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis using FEA/CFD tools.
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Support system integration and testing of mechanical and electro-optical assemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
  • Contribute to prototype builds, reviews, and iterative development cycles.
  • Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in mechanical design, finite element analysis, and computational fluid dynamics software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or Master’s with 3+ years.
  • Design experience for machining, additive manufacturing, or other production methods within the past year or two.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with FEA, CFD, and simulation tools for mechanical analysis.
  • Experience with electro-optical systems or military/aerospace R&D projects is a strong plus.
  • A . in a related field is a plus.
  • Work Environment

    The position is on-site, requiring attendance 5 days a week from 8am to 4pm. The work environment is casual, allowing jeans.     This is a Permanent position based out of Las Vegas, NV.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
