We're seeking a senior level Medical Expense Vendor Analyst to join our Finance division! In this critical role, you will focus on supporting the financial process development of vendor arrangements (capitation, value-based, event-based, or other) that impact Medical Expense.
As a Medical Expense Vendor Analyst, you’ll be responsible for coordinating across all Finance division functions and other impacted divisions to ensure vendor arrangements meet financial requirements through contract development, financial data extracts, reporting requirements, or other documentation. Responsible for continual monitoring, accrual, and payment activities for all vendor arrangements to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements. You will also coordinate with valuation actuaries to ensure accuracy of vendor medical expense arrangement balances.
**What** **You’ll** **Do**
+ Complete end-to-end financial coordination from contract initiation through ongoing monitoring to enhance visibility, mitigate risks, and ensure timely and accurate financial outcomes
+ Monitor, track, accrue and reconcile invoices with entities (vendor, providers, etc.) under MedEx (Medical Expense) arrangements
+ Notify all critical Finance areas of new arrangements
+ Maintain an up-to-date list of MedEx vendors
+ Document financial extracts and reporting requirements
+ Prepare financial and business related analysis and research for vendor arrangements.
+ Act as a consultant for forecasting and analyze trends for vendor arrangement’s income impact, monthly variance analyst (at any business/segment or consolidated company level). Provide ongoing support to various business lines and answer any questions that may arise.
+ Actively contributes to the success of the Actuarial Services team through reserving and data requirements.
+ Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with other Business Unit managers to provide quality seamless customer service.
+ Support the complex administration and analysis for new arrangements and corporate projects.
+ Provide leadership, coaching, support & problem solving assistance, and knowledge transfer to other analysts.
+ Review and check for accuracy of various internal and external reports, such as membership, commissions, and the impact of large claims on the various lines of business and market segments for use in financial analysis.
+ Report to Valuation Actuarial Leadership

+ Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (whererequired)
+ 8+ years of experience in relatedfield.
+ In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.

+ Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, accounting, or actuarial work.

**Salary Range**
At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
