East Sussex County Council is seeking a Principal Officer to play a key role in shaping and delivering highway schemes that support new developments across the county.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading the design and delivery of developer-led highway schemes through S38, S171 and S278 agreements
  • Approving highway designs and overseeing construction to ensure quality, safety and minimal disruption
  • Managing complex projects, budgets and small-to-medium contracts from start to finish
  • Working closely with developers, contractors, planners, emergency services and local councils
