    As a Principal Platform Engineer, you’ll lead the design and delivery of resilient, scalable cloud platforms. You’ll coach and mentor engineers, drive automation, and contribute to long-term strategic outcomes across our data and technology landscape.

    What You’ll Do

  • Engineer future-proof cloud platforms that support scalability, resiliency, and performance across enterprise systems

  • Lead platform implementations from inception to production, ensuring quality documentation and sustainable support processes across teams

  • Identify and deliver automation opportunities to optimise cost, availability, and performance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform solutions with strategic architectural vision

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership to grow engineering capability across the team and other business functions

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and adaptability

  • Ensure platform meets enterprise security, governance and compliance standards

    • What You’ll Bring

  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS/Azure and Terraform (Terraform Cloud preferred), with strong skills in OpenShift; Azure experience is a plus.

  • Skilled in Python and/or Go scripting and automation frameworks like Ansible or Puppet

  • Proven ability to mentor and coach engineers, fostering technical growth and team capability

  • Strong understanding of observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana) and cloud governance

  • Experience in deployment management and access control, implementing IAM roles, deployment permissions, and cloud best practices to ensure secure and reliable platform operations

  • Experience in Agile and Lean delivery, with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement

  • Comfortable navigating complex environments and translating strategic goals into actionable engineering outcomes

  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines and secrets management (Hashicorp Vault preferred)
