Principle Architect - Construction Project - Frankfurt - 12-Month Contract+

Having received significant investment, this established data centre group is in their next phase of growth and require the expertise of a Principle Architect. They have established partnerships with many of the well-known technology powerhouses and tailor to their development to their client's requirements.

Responsibilities: 
  • Provide oversight and review of project plans, space allocation programs and master planning submittals throughout the complete design process (i.e. RIBA work stages 1 to 6)
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams across all disciplines to ensure products delivered to Operations is streamline and optimised to meet the needs of the business across all functions
  • Conduct value engineering reviews, and provide construction method recommendations based on ROI and IRR considerations
  • Participate in permitting application process providing guidance to the rest of the project teams with implementation of local regulation required adaptations to standard designs
  • Attend project design team meetings and ensure product constructed meets architectural standards and specifications
  • Work closely with various Vantage departments and teams to find solutions to improve the Vantage data centre products focusing on improved efficiency, cost effectiveness, quality and constructability. 
  • Project coordination and quality control acceptance.
  • Develop and/or set minimum requirements for complete material and people paths through the data centres in normal and emergency situation.
  • Help set standards for architectural, civil and structural quality control efforts and ensure compliance on each project.
  • Additional duties as assigned from time to time by management

  • Requirements: 
  • Bachelor of Architecture, or equivalent, from an accredited university or college.
  • Substantial experience in architectural design and construction required.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Data Centre and/or mission critical experience is required.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD& Microsoft office applications.
  • Working knowledge of building and fire codes ordinances.
  • Travel required is expected to be 20-25%, but may increase over time as the business evolves.
