Piper Health & Sciences is hiring a Principal Engineer with + years of MEP experience to join a top engineering consulting firm delivering mission-critical projects across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

This hybrid role offers flexible hours (core: 9 AM–3 PM), paid overtime, and the opportunity to work on impactful projects in the life sciences and tech sectors.

Responsibilities for the Principal Engineer (MEP) Include:

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
  • Manage clear paths of communication between mechanical and plumbing teams to ensure integrated MEP designs
  • Approve cost estimating and documentation for project proposals

    • Qualifications for the Principal Engineer (MEP) Include:

  • BSEE preferred; BSME/BSAE still considered
  • PE license
