Principle Engineer Electrical

Purpose of Role

The production of electrical building services designs predominantly for Railway Stations and other Railway Buildings, working individually or as part of a team. Prepare, coordinate, and monitor a project, from the initial conception to the schedule and final completion. Supervise and mentor Assistant Enginners/ Engineers in day to day activities.

Responsibilities

• Design of low voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400Volt) including UPS sources;
• Operation of AMTECH / Electrical OM software to produce design for low voltage systems including selection of cable types, protective devices and self-checking and presentation of results;
• Design of general lighting systems;
• Design of emergency lighting systems;
• Good working knowledge of different lighting types and sources (including LED types);
