Machine Operator (Printing Press Assistant)🌟 Join Our Team as a Printing Press Assistant (1st & 2nd Shift) 🌟Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00AM to 4:00PM
Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:00 AMĀ  (Enjoy a 3-Day Weekend, Every Weekend!)
Pay: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour
Job Summary & RequirementsPosition OverviewWe are looking for dependable and detail‑oriented Press Helpers to support our production team on 1st and 2nd shift. In this role, you will work alongside press operators to ensure smooth daily operations, including press setup, changeovers, and cleanup. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency while meeting customer expectations.Key Responsibilities
  • Review job orders to understand project specifications and confirm required materials and equipment
  • Gather and stage all necessary supplies, ensuring job carts are fully prepared before production begins
  • Assist press operators with setup and changeovers, including mounting plates and loading ink
  • Maintain proper stock levels of press supplies at each station
  • Clean ink chambers and related equipment; support all cleanup tasks during and after changeovers
  • Perform routine material‑handling duties using carts and pallet jacks, returning components to their designated areas
  • Keep the press operating when the press operator is on break or away from the machine
  • Inspect labels to ensure they meet established quality standards
  • Complete required documentation for quality control and production tracking; report any issues to the press operator or operations manager
  • Collaborate with team members to stay on schedule and complete regular quality checks
  • Follow all safety procedures, comply with cGMP requirements, and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Work overtime as needed or assigned
  • Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in manufacturing or printing is helpful but not mandatory
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Self‑driven with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
  • Basic mechanical understanding and problem‑solving ability
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on meeting production goals
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operating instructions, and job jackets
  • Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and use of hands
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Work Environment
  • Work is performed near moving mechanical equipment
  • Exposure to non‑hazardous ink vapors
  • Safety shoes are required at all times
  • Safety glasses must be worn when handling inks or cleaners
  • Hearing protection is mandatory in production areas
