This role blends private equity, small business acquisition, real-estate underwriting, financial operations, and tax-aware strategic planning. The Associate will evaluate deals, manage diligence, build financial models, monitor multi-entity performance, and help structure a cohesive, scalable investment system for the CEO’s growing portfolio. This is a high-trust, high-responsibility role for a sharp, resourceful operator who can bring clarity, analytical depth, and financial rigor to a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.

You will work directly with our CEO to:

  • Build a durable portfolio of small business acquisitions
  • Expand real estate investments across multiple markets

  • Support tax optimization, entity structuring, and long-term financial planning
  • Build a private investment system that scales beyond Bree’s time and attention

Key Responsibilities

Wealth Management and Personal CFO Support

  • Maintain a comprehensive net-worth and liquidity dashboard that consolidates all personal and investment assets, liabilities, cash positions, and upcoming obligations.
  • Monitor cash flow across entities and personal accounts, forecast future needs, and identify opportunities to optimize liquidity, savings, and capital deployment.
  • Track performance of existing investments, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to rebalance or improve returns.
  • Coordinate with external advisors (tax, legal, wealth advisors, lenders, accountants) to gather inputs, prepare documentation, and ensure alignment with overarching wealth strategy.
  • Prepare monthly personal financial summaries synthesizing progress toward wealth goals, investment performance, cash positions, and upcoming strategic decisions.
  • Conduct cash-flow planning for the CEO’s personal finances
  • Provide financial clarity to support major life and business actions

Deal Sourcing, Diligence & Transaction Execution

  • Build and manage a continuous pipeline of acquisition opportunities across industries
  • Conduct initial screening for size, margins, customer concentration, owner-dependence, and operational complexity
  • Develop investment memos summarizing thesis, risks, and recommendations
  • Build relationships with brokers, bankers, advisers, and small-business seller networks
  • Lead diligence workstreams (financial, operational, tax, legal)
  • Build and manage data rooms
  • Ensure documentation alignment across lenders, attorneys, sellers, and internal stakeholders
  • Support deal structuring for tax efficiency and long-term asset protection

Financial Modeling & Underwriting

  • Construct detailed financial models, including LBOs, working-capital analyses, debt-service structures, and sensitivity cases
  • Assess capital stack options (SBA, seller financing, earnouts, rollover equity, etc.)
  • Evaluate post-close cash-flow sufficiency and risk exposure

Real Estate Investment Analysis

  • Underwrite multifamily, senior living, and other real estate investment opportunities
  • Build pro formas, rent rolls, expense assumptions, and acquisition/development budgets
  • Conduct partner vetting and market analysis
  • Support both acquisition and asset-management workflows

Financial Reporting Across Multiple Entities

  • Create and maintain a unified financial dashboard that aggregates:
    • Business performance
    • Real estate holdings
    • Cash positions
    • Debt obligations
    • Equity growth
    • Produce monthly investment and performance reports
    • Coordinate reporting across several operating companies and personal investments

Post-Close Value Creation

  • Develop 100-day plans for new acquisitions
  • Support KPI development, integration, financial tracking, and operational improvement
  • Monitor performance against underwriting and flag variances early
  • Work with support team to properly staff and manage acquisitions

Tax Strategy & Entity Structure Support (in collaboration with external advisors)

  • Review and help implement strategies related to depreciation, trust structures, loss-harvesting, QSBS, Augusta rule, and more
  • Support recommendations to optimize entity structure, liability protection, and cash-flow efficiency

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, transaction services, management consulting, and/or a comparable analytical/finance-intensive role.
  • Exceptional financial modeling capability, including LBOs, sensitivity analyses, working-capital forecasting, debt-service modeling, and multi-scenario planning; able to build from scratch without templates.
  • Experience supporting or leading transaction processes, including sourcing, deal screening, due diligence, data-room organization, materials preparation, and cross-party coordination.
  • Exposure to real estate underwriting including multifamily, mixed-use, or operating-business real estate
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial automation tools, dashboards, and reporting systems; strong analytical intuition and numerical accuracy.
  • Superb written communication, especially the ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear, concise, decision-ready memos, models, and summaries.
  • High degree of discretion and professional integrity, with the ability to manage confidential financial information across multiple entities and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments, exercising sound judgment, proactive problem-solving, and independent decision-making.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfort engaging with external stakeholders, including lenders, investors, attorneys, accountants, sellers, and advisors, with professionalism and clarity.
  • Curiosity and a builder’s mindset—someone who improves systems, templates, models, and processes rather than simply using what exists.
  • Entrepreneurial orientation, with a desire to contribute to an expanding investment platform and a long-term vision for wealth creation.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience ($1500 - $1800 monthly)
  • Opportunity for performance-based bonuses as the company grows
  • Direct mentorship from the founder and CEO
