Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Private Equity Fund Accountant with hands-on experience in Allvue, Everest, or Black Mountain.
The role will be responsible for end-to-end fund accounting activities across private equity structures, ensuring accurate financial reporting, investor allocations, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end fund accounting for Private Equity funds, including:
- Capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations
- NAV calculation and review
- Management fees, carried interest, and expense allocations
- Investor statements and capital account reports
- Maintain and operate fund accounting systems such as Allvue / Everest / Black Mountain
- Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Treasury, Compliance) and external parties:
- Auditors
- Administrators
- Tax advisors
- Support audit processes and respond to auditor queries efficiently
- Ensure compliance with GAAP / IFRS and fund documentation (LPAs)
- Assist in system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting
- Mandatory hands-on experience Allvue/Everest/Black Mountain
- Strong understanding of:
- Private Equity fund structures
- Capital accounting and waterfall calculations
- NAV and investor reporting
- Advanced Excel skills: exposure to reporting tools is a plus
