Job Description

Position Purpose The individual in this role will be responsible for providing design, implementation, and support for existing and new Process Control Systems. The position supports a 24/7 animal protein manufacturing facility and will interact with manufacturing associates, operations, and maintenance departments. The position’s primary focus is to improve our ABB 800xA DCS (Distributed Control System) PLC automated process controls systems. In addition, the position is responsible for production and facility equipment maintenance. Primary Functions
  • Design, program, modify and maintain DCS and PLC systems 
  • Maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and perform adjustments or modifications to PLC programs and HMI systems
  • Design and install retrofits to existing systems
  • Create and implement strategies to improve process efficiencies
