Process Data Scientist

Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company, is looking for a Junior Process Data Scientist to join their Drug Substance Manufacturing team in Basel.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional passionate about data-driven process optimization and quality assurance.

Your Responsibilities:

• Model Development:
  Design and build Multivariate Data Analysis (MVDA) models for Drug Substance manufacturing processes.
• Data Pre-processing & Curation:
  Apply rigorous data modeling techniques and ensure raw process data is correctly pre-processed to prevent false positives/negatives.
• Validation & Maintenance:
  Execute formal validation protocols and maintain models throughout their lifecycle as process baselines evolve.

Must Haves:

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemometrics, Statistics, or Biotechnology OR Bachelor/Master's degree with relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in statistics
• First professional/industry experience
• English and German at B2/C1 level

Nice to Haves:

• Familiarity with Open-DCP or similar frameworks (e.g., SIMCA)
• Knowledge of R for statistical computing
• Experience with Aveva PI System Explorer (OSIsoft)
