Process Development Associate
As a Process Development Associate, you will engage in purification high throughput screening experiments, support the purification of various biological molecules, and assist with equipment maintenance and data mining projects. You will perform high throughput screening experiments to inform purification process development for clinical and commercial processes, document experiments and findings in an electronic laboratory notebook, maintain instruments, troubleshoot instrumental and experimental problems, and collect and analyze historical data to generate insights.
Responsibilities
+ Perform purification high throughput screening experiments and support laboratory work to inform purification process development.
+ Document experiments, results, and findings in an electronic laboratory notebook.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and experimental setups.
+ Collect and aggregate historical data to analyze and generate insights.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with column chromatography and protein purification.
+ Proficiency in using AKTA systems.
+ Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
+ 0 - 3 years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in downstream processing or automation is advantageous, with a preference for purification expertise.
+ Familiarity with equipment such as AKTA Pilot, AKTA Process, and TFF.
+ A strong understanding of protein purification and technology transfer principles.
Work Environment
Join a small, dynamic group that is part of a larger team of approximately 50 members within a process development division focused on scaling up processes to meet preclinical or clinical quantities. The fast-paced pilot scale laboratory setting values sound science and teamwork, while also encouraging individual project ownership. This hands-on laboratory role requires onsite presence five days a week. The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
